Some ancient notes on the Nandi and Kony people

E-mail Print PDF
Did you know the origin of Kimyeet and its cooking as we know it today? So why do people cook ugali the way they do and what was done before that? How about the God of the Nandi, the place of 'ooik' and where did Orkoik come from? Did the Nandi really get the circumcision rites from Islam? Why are some places named with suffices ending with '-oi' which may imply that the name is a derivative of 'spirit' names. Do you know the meaning of your name? How about the names of cattle, what is the meaning of 'sogoraneet tanyaa'? etc.
